These Art and Adventure workshops are centered on observing and experiencing first and then painting from those experiences to create art unique to you. Our philosophy is that by alternating outdoor activities one day with painting sessions the next, you will be able to better integrate your experiences into paintings. We want you to be able to absorb the sights, sounds, textures and smells around you without the pressure to simultaneously create something from them.
We will arrange for you to stay at a beautiful hotel in the enchanting village of Pythagorio. You will go on a beautiful hike with Rick, venture into an incredible cave with Ingo, and paint in the studio with Donia. These activities will allow you to see more than just the typical sights of the island. They are designed to inspire and challenge, not frighten or exhaust. Both excursions will be catered to the capabilities and desires of the group.
There will be one "free day" when you can create an excursion of your choice, and one organized group dinner. Other than that the time is yours to enjoy. The relaxed atmosphere and schedule will allow you to have an enriching experience without the exhaustion you might feel after a typical workshop. We don't believe you must "cram everything in" to learn or have a great holiday.
If you wish to try something more physically challenging than the organized group activities while you are here, both Rick and Ingo are available for private lessons or excursions for rock climbing or endurro trips, etc on your “free day.”
What better souvenir (french for "remembrance") than the memories, sights, and emotions you can utilize as an inexhaustible resource for creative fodder? Many people comment that their holiday pictures never show the real beauty of what they were photographing. The goal of our workshops are to help you capture and communicate the feeling of those special places or experiences that your photos never seem to do justice.
