Airfare and travel to and from the island of Samos is not included in the price of the workshop.

To get the island of Samos, the most direct way would be to fly to Athens and either take the ferry (a 12 to 18 hour ride, depending) to Vathi – a main port on Samos – or fly one hour to the airport just outside of Pythagorio. For ferry prices and info you can visit http://ferries-online.gr/

We recommend if you are prone to or worried about being jet-lagged, perhaps arriving in Athens a day or two before leaving for Samos. This way you can see some of Athens or the surrounding areas and “decompress” before taking the 12 to 18 hour boat ride to Samos. If you choose to fly to Samos, you need not worry about this aspect, but can arrange to arrive in Samos early to rest before the workshop week begins.
This is only a suggestion as everyone has different needs both physically and schedule-wise, but if you would like to arrive earlier than the day before the scheduled workshop in Samos, please let us know so we can arrange for earlier accommodation.
